My approach to Trichotillomania

I approach trichotillomania with curiousity and compassion rather than shame or judgement. Together, we'll explore the patterns surrounding hair pulling, including triggers, emotions, body sensations, stress, and situations that increase urges. I use an integrative approach incorporating behavioral and habit-change strategies, DBT, emotional regulation and somatic tools to increase awareness of urges and develop alternative ways of responding. We also work with anxiety, perfectionism, overwhelm, and self-criticism that may contribute to the cycle. My goal is to help clients feel more empowered and less controlled by the urge to pull.

About me

With a diverse background in mental health, wellness, and holistic healing, I take an integrative approach that honors the connection between mind, body, and spirit. My goal is to support meaningful, lasting change in a way that is personalized and empowering.

Qualifications

Additional Information

I provide compassionate, individualize therapy for adults struggling with trichotillomania, anxiety, intrusive thoughts, perfectionism, and chronic stress. My approach looks beyond the havior itself to understand triggers, emotions, nervous system patterns, and the urge cycle that can keep hair pulling going. Together, we work toward greater awareness, practical coping strategies, self-compassion, and a healthier relationship with yourself.
